“How is it possible you know the very depths of me more than those who have known me my whole life? More than I know my own self?” The High
The High is a spellbinding drama loosely based on Romeo and Juliet. It is the story of Reese, a sensitive Goth boy who falls in love with Jasmine, the most popular and beautiful girl at “The High” . . . with tragic consequences. Themes of homosexuality and self-mutilation add new twists to this classic tale, spinning characters into uncharted darkness.

“The High was poignant, shocking and intense. The relationship between the lovers was gentle and real. I was haunted by images of the play for days. It was a profoundly moving experience.”
Jeanne Alleva, Author and Theater Professional
"The High is a strong theater piece that addresses the universal adolescent issues of competition, cliques, anger, self-image, violence, and love. The dialogue, written in an interesting combination of colloquial speech and the more formal syntax of classical theater, creates an undated universal time."
Nina Adams, Member of Board of Directors, Yale Summer Cabaret, Yale School of Drama
